Absolutely wild ride. Picking up this book reminded me of how it felt to turn on Mad Max: Fury Road knowing nothing about it. The best part about these characters is how fleshed out and imperfect they are. Gideon endeared herself to me immediately and Harrow grew on me
much like how she grew on Gideon
. Muir really has created a very unique world for her series l—I've never seen anything quite like it.

Would've been a perfect five from me if not for how the first couple acts were a bit of a slog. That being said, I don't really think there was any way to streamline all the information that Muir had to give, but it still impacted my reading experience. I didn't truly enjoy it until I got almost halfway through.

I ate this UP. Made me rabbit-hole the Somerton Man. Great, quick read. Multiple sapphics, thank god.
Less fae than I was expecting, though still fae themes, and perhaps more creative because of this.

It was an interesting read. Had a little to say about the nature of grief and how loss impacts us. Definitely a toxic relationship but, as that was that point, it is an interesting one to read about.

Probably one of the most unique sci-fantasies I've ever read. Beautiful as a standalone but I would happily read a sequel if one was ever published, especially one that would explore that hinted-at
polycule
dynamic.

Some are better than others. I enjoyed the first and last ones best.

I love this book so much. I rarely reread books but I've read this one at least five times now and probably more. It never gets old to me.

Fun, quick read. Felt like it ended too soon. Really had too many POVs for the length it was. I enjoyed it though.
