Semantic Error, Vol. 1 by Angy, Soori Jeo

Watched the kdrama adaptation on this, and that one was also hilarious and sweet at the same time.
Anyway, I've been meaning to start the comic about it and was lucky enough to be able to get a review copy.
Obviously, I really enjoyed it. Both main leads are really hilarious and goofy. To be honest, I really enjoyed their dynamics. The developments are slowly filling in, and I can't wait to see how the story goes.
Thank you, Yen Press, for the review copy via Edelweiss

Intriguing and promising premise.
Unfortunately, the story failed to sell the tropes or the whole thing to me. I think probably because of the writing, which at first was really intriguing for me, but as the story goes, it felt dragging. The twist didn't made me feel a thing because of it.
I also didn't feel the romance between the leads nor their presence struck me that much, which led me to not really cars towards them.
Overall, this was a missed idea for me. If it was more engaging and characters were more striking, I would have definitely enjoyed this more.
Thank you, author, for the e-arc opportunity.

This is one of the booksta recs or booksta famous books that HIT ๐๐ซ
I've read a few cowboys romance in the past, and Chasing Wild is the only one that really did it for me. The tension, the slow burn, and the characters are just well done ๐ค๐ฝ
Another thing I love, which I really look and important for me, is the writing, whether it's written in an exciting or compelling way, which, by the way, the author did well. I'm not also going to forget that pacing, which also did a good performance.
I also enjoyed Colton and Layla's dynamics, which were both hilarious at the beginning, given how they started and the power dynamics as well. I think that's why I did enjoy this because of the age gap as well, which the author did a good job in executing.
Not also gonna forget the smut๐ถ๐ถ๐ถ๐ถ, which was just ๐ค๐ฝ๐ค๐ฝ๐ค๐ฝ I would say IT WAS REALLY GOOD, especially the dirty talk, in my opinion, and probably because of the age gap again ๐
I'm also glad that we did get to see a little bit redemption on Kayce's side, I would definitely love to read his story if ever he did one.
My only issue is probably the break-up conflict the almost end part. I just think that part could have been better if given a good amount of building, but given how it was put on the almost end parts made it anticlimactic and off for me considering this was a 400 and more pages.
I believe if it was on the 60-ish percent, it would have been well presented, in my opinion.
Overall, it was really a good read. Definitely highly recommended for me โฅ๏ธ

First things first, I really thought this was gonna be a reverse harem, but after starting it, it turns out to be a poly relationship. Nevertheless, I did enjoy it overall.
Although it was overwhelming at first since this was my first ever poly romance. Anyway, I was grateful that it was easy to get through. The writing was engaging, and the charactersโ although there was quite a number of characters from the previous books - they were pretty easy to remember.
If you're up for a quick holiday, and most especially a poly relationship in a romance novel, you'll definitely enjoy this.
Thank you so much, author, for the e-arc opportunity.

I was definitely expecting a lot from this manga adaptation, especially the storytelling and the storyline.
I think it was sort of underwhelming to me. Both characters and storytelling failed to really pull me into the story. I can't say if I'm going to continue this series for now.

Welpโ
I've been seeing this on booksta for many times and loads of good reviews, so here I am, expecting it would be a good read, but unfortunately, I was disappointed.
First things first. I honestly believe it could have been shorter. It was so bland, in my opinion, but held on because it might have a good rising action/ climax, but nope.
Romance felt so forced as well. I didn't link it ๐

The premise of this sci-fantasy romance is interesting. I was really looking forward to this, considering I've been wanting to try some sci-fantasy romance for a while now.
However, the writing and execution really failed to sell the story to me. The characters aren't standing out, and nobody failed to catch my interest.
With that being said, the romance is a major letdown as well, considering how bland it was and, like, there's literally no chemistry.
I honestly think that if this was written and executed well, I definitely would have enjoyed this.

Sweet Wicked Vows by Rachel Donnan

Took me a while to finish this due to college events, but here it is. I'm gonna make this as brief as possible because I feel like lately, my reviews are hella long.
Anyway, first things first, the writing: which was engaging and a smooth walkthrough for me. I enjoyed how easy it was to get through.
Other than that, I enjoyed how light it was, really perfect for the busy and stress mood I had the past few days or like the whole last week in general.
The characters were also quite good, in my opinion. They all did decently made their presence known, especially the few side characters, which I'm excited to know more about, hopefully in the next instalment.
I think the romance could have been more beautiful, to be honest. I felt like it was a little bit in the dry part, but only a little. The spicy scene was quite good, though. I will give kudos to that.
I would also like to mention the grovelling one, which I would say was quick? There's not much grovelling there for my standards.
Overall, this was still a good read for me. It's definitely recommended if you like a light and a quick read.

I was expecting a quick and fun read, but unfortunately, this was a miss for me.
I felt like the book really didn't give justice on the premise and tropes here. The same goes for the characters, which was undeveloped in my opinion and, at the same time, unlikeable.
The writing also didn't help, and I really had the problem going through it. That's why I had the DNF it @55%. It's just not for me, and I think 55% is enough to stop considering how unlikeable the characters and the writing has been.
