Sometimes you need a silly romantasy book. (It unfortunately did not *give*.) 
It was too flat and YA-y for my tastes. (Too little romance and yearning and what not.) But it was okay I guess. 
One slightly positive surprise: I expected the MMC to be toxic, but he was pretty reasonable. He was actually kind of cute😭
