Tropes: -Brother’s rival -Sports romance -Forced proximity -Footballer x Ballerina
Ana Huang writing a sports romance is what I didn’t know I needed this year. Make it a football romance and I was frothing at the mouth. Overall I really loved the book, it was on the long side but when you listen to it on audio it’s a 10/10 for me.
You also get to see more character growth which I really liked, specially in Asher and Vincent. I haven’t read a ‘brother’s rival’ romance book in a while and I loved this one. I also loved Vincent and Adil as a side character, they were hilarious the entire time.
Nicknames are my weakness and one of my favourite micro tropes. Asher calling Scarlett ‘darling’ made me all warm and fuzzy inside. This man might be my new fave fictional man from Ana Huang.
Ever since the word Gus, stache, Teddy and grumpy entered the chat, I was done for and I’ve been OBSESSED ever since. I haven’t read a book in less than 24 hours in a while but this one was addicting to say the least. Gus and Teddy had me giggling and kicking my feet in the air every two seconds.
There is nothing in this book I didn’t love but to me it was more than just a small town cowboy romance. Sure it was a fun wholesome steamy read (hello Gus my future husband) but being vulnerable is hard. Accepting that you can’t be everywhere all the time is hard. Change of any kind is hard. Having the walls constantly up is hard. To find reprieve in the people you love and love you back is an indescribable feeling.
Teddy is seriously ✨THAT GIRL✨ and I saw myself so much in her on so many different levels. Her tenacity, vulnerability, creativity, unconditional love and friendship with Emmy is everything. Being an avid romance smut reader is so Teddy and I love it! This book is going to stay with me forever and I can’t wait to reread it.
Tropes: -Grumpy x sunshine -Forced proximity -Single parent -Best friend’s brother -small town cowboy romance
If you love these tropes, guaranteed you will love ‘Lost and Lassoed’! The third book of the Rebel Blue Ranch series and my absolute favourite so far. Counting down the days for Wild and Wrangled!!
“Never trust. Never yield. Always guard your heart.”
It took me a while to get into the book but once I was hooked I just couldn’t put it down. I loved the world-building, the characters (specially Oraya and Mische) and the plot was everything. This epic Hunger Games fantasy retelling with vampires and humans should be on everyones TBR. Definitely a must read, specially if you like more plot and less romance. I also love how they all have intricate, special and unique names and then there is Vincent.
Maybe a bit controversial but I really liked Vincent and didn't want to believe he was the villain of the story. I think this was also because I knew how much it would hurt Oraya and I loved their relationship.
The last 100 pages were a roller coaster of emotions. I think I held my breath until the end. Nothing and I mean nothing could have prepared me for that ending. As it is, I’m still in shock. I knew something was going to happen but I didn’t predict this. It's hard to put into words how that ending made me feel but I did end up staring into he wall for a very long time after gathering my thoughts.
Overall I loved this book so much and recommend 100%. Currently reading the second book ASAP.
Flaws of characters a main focus? It's complicated

Mariana Zapata does it again. She is the queen of slow burn and I love it and eat it up every single time. The buildup, the tension, the characters were everything and I’m OBSESSED.
Diana is just the best FMC, I loved her fierce possessiveness and protectiveness over Josh, Dallas and Louie. This girl had it so bad for Dallas and honestly so did I. Let it be known that if I never find a man that makes me giggle, blush, takes care of me and loves me like Dallas, I DON’T WANT IT. Signed by me✨
I have been listening to this audiobook every single chance I’ve gotten because how for the life of me could I not. I swear I really tried not to cry but the last few chapters had me balling my eyes out. Safe to say Wait for It is one of my top reads of this year without a doubt in question.
I loved all the cameos of the couples from other books. Never did I think that getting a glimpse of Diana in ‘The Wall of Winnipeg and Me’ would lead to this masterpiece 🥹😍 10/10 no notes
Take this a sign to go read a Mariana Zapata book if you haven’t already!!
Cute, spicy and short audiobook for anyone that is a fan of Ali Hazelwood! As always, Ali Hazelwood delivers and I eat it up every single time! If anything I wished it had been longer!
Let me start off by saying that Dr. Reed Abner must be protected at all cost!! This man has me giggling at myself while I’m writing this review because he could not be more perfect!! My kindle notes are basically all REED REED REED.
Lisina knows how to write an age gap, I love how the dynamics between Lila and Reed. Perfect blend of age gap, light academia and the slow burn is 🔥🔥
My heart went out to Lila because I’m sure we’ve all had a ‘what the f**k am I doing with my life* moment and honestly I couldn’t have related more. At the end of the day it doesn’t really matter how good you are at something, you can still struggle with impostor syndrome.
Perfect end to a series, I just love all the characters so much and I definitely recommend you pick up the series if you haven’t already!! I’m also lowkey obsessed with these covers!!
This is my rating of the books:
✨The brightest light of sunshine - 4⭐️/2🌶️ ✨The darkest corner of the heart - 4.5⭐️/1.5🌶️ ✨The deepest end of love - 4.5⭐️/1🌶️
I don’t know what I was expecting when I put this book on hold in Libby but it wasn’t this! A unique, cute, funny spicy paranormal book with some surprisingly dick biting involved! Yes you read that right. To read at your own risk 🫣🤭
I LOVED this spicy paranormal romance! If you enjoyed Bride by Ali Hazelwood then I 1000% definitely recommend this book! This book was so much FUN, there was knotting, banter and Noah Taylor was my favourite character. This man made me more emotional than I though he could and he has definitely made it onto my book boyfriend list.
How protective this man was of Mack had my heart melting and the chemistry between them was SIZZLING to say the least.
Forever in my Ali Hazelwood era and for good reason because she never disappoints! Ever since I read The Love Hypothesis I was hooked so I hope she never stops writing her STEM romance books because I love them so much!
Her nerdiest book yet and I loved every second of it! As a woman in STEM reading Ali Hazelwood’s books make me feel so seen. Academia is truly a double edged sword and I swear there is more politics than science involved 😭 I just wanted to give Elsie the biggest hug ever! 🥹
I love when a man is obsessed with his girl and let me tell you Jack was OBSESSED 😍😍 I swear my heart was going to beat out of my chest! Also the cameo with Olive and Adam made me sooo happy!
I’ve been team Suit Daddy since the very beginning and after I finished TWHFTL I had to read this book immediately.
This book was EVERYTHING!! I absolutely loved this grumpy x sunshine, childhood frenemies to lovers that this book had going on. I love when the FMC is a bookworm and Sloane was just amazing. Lucian Rollins though had me on my knees. The way this man cared for Sloane, how protective he was of her had me HOOKED.
