I LOVED this book but I had a felling that I was going to before I even started.
Ethan

Beau

Small town = small views....
I live by this belief..if it makes someone happy and isn't hurting anyone then so be it. Living in a vanilla world would SUCK.
Beau captured my heart in Zane's book. Ethan...when are we ever NOT drawn to the dark, withdrawn, bruting guy?? And you are a Walker so you must be delicious.
It was a beautiful story about two men who faced prejudice and bullying whom rose above it all and were rewarded with beauty.
I am pretty sure this will be my favorite book of the whole series.

Amazing!

Let me start this "review" by stating that I haven't read a ton of books in the m/m romance genre ... it's not that I don't enjoy or appreciate them ... I just generally prefer to have some kind of female interaction in my sexy reads (I'm a girl, so it's easier on my imagination). Now, having said that ... this is by far, the best m/m book I've read. But it is so much more than just a nice erotic read!
Nicole Edwards is a master of erotic writing. Seriously. If you like hot - this is by far one of the hottest yet. But this book has taken her writing to a level I wasn't expecting - covering deeply emotional and sometimes troubling subject matter.
I was enthralled by Ethan's story. I was enraptured by his love affair with Beau. And I was haunted by his history as he struggled with learning to love, trust and find acceptance.
The strength of these characters & the real life people who inspire this type of story - have my heart, my compassion and my support.
Fabulous story. I can't wait for more of the Walker clan!

Pre-review:
This is very enjoyable, but I truly hate feeling like I'm missing important details because I'm not interested in an M/F and menage BDSM series. If an author is going to mix M/M into the middle of a het series, they should make darn sure we have all the information, considering a lot of M/M readers don't cross lines back into non-M/M romance. I don't think it would have been too hard to have did a flashback to the first kiss, or taken those scenes and had THOSE be the prologue to the story.
I hate that I missed the first freaking kiss, and the first realization that these guys had feelings for each other.
However, all that being said, I liked this a lot. The sex was hot and plentiful, and I loved watching Ethan fight his feelings, but then once he was in, he was all in. I loved the extended family, but not enough to dive back into that genre.

With the release of Curtis, I wanted to re-read and read the Walker Brother books again. I have read some but not all of them. I am so glad that I did. The Walker Brother know how to rock everybody's world.
Another fantastic book by Nicole Edwards. The Walker brothers books just get better and better.
Ethan Walker was always a mystery to his family or so he thought. Ethan has always known he was gay but he didn't think his parents knew. His brothers had guessed and he was fine with that. He didn't want to come out as he didn't want to disappoint his parents or upset their world. He was happy with his life the way it was.
Beau Bennett knows who he is now but it hasn't always been this way. He has never had a real relationship but he knows what he wants or should I say who he wants. Ethan Walker doesn't know what has hit him when Beau Bennett has him in his sights.
I would recommend this book and all the Walker brother books.

It made me really happy to see Ethan get some peace from his past and for Beau to find someone like Ethan. The reason I scored this the way I did was because there were a few loose ends that I would have liked to see some resolution. What happened to Blake? The man was seriously going off the deep end there for a while? I can't believe he just left it drop. And Jimmy... he openly admitted to beating Ethan almost to death, in front of the sherrif, I just think that there would have been more retribution, consequences, charges... something from that. He got off way to easy. I wish I could give 4.5 stars, because the open ends don't warrant a full star but I just can't give it five.

Painful, powerful, emotional read
This book is more than just Ethan and Beau's story. It's a story about so many in the world today. It's about how ignorant, despicable, and deadly bigoted people can be. It's about the horror people in the LGBT community live each and every day all because of who they love and who they are as people. This book is a testament to those that have taken their own life out of desperation to escape the evil of those that torture them daily in their own homes and/or community. Most of all this book is about love and acceptance of family and of lover. It's about how amazing it is to be loved, supported, and protected by those you love the most, and how important it is to have those people in your corner.

Wow, just wow! I have an Ethan book hangover like you wouldn’t believe. The tingles and chills I got while reading (more like devouring) Ethan were off the charts! This book had it all - super hot yummy men, deep emotions, angst (just the right amount) and flashes of past Walkers and Walkers we are still learning about. I truly LOVED Ethan.
Ethan Walker is all sexy man. He is tall, built, and likes to get his hands dirty. Ethan is gay but has never come right out and told his family or friends. Because Ethan keeps his true feelings hidden he tends to keep to himself. Ethan has dealt with a great deal of bulling and criticism from those who believe that he is gay and don’t agree with his lifestyle. Ethan Walker doesn’t see any reason to come out because he doesn’t think he will meet “the man” that would be worth the upheaval coming out would cause his family. Until Beau Bennett…….
Beau Bennett is just as sexy and manly as Ethan, but Beau is more secure in his skin. We first got an in-depth look at Beau Bennet in Zane. Beau and Zane had been best friends and shared plenty of women since they were younger. Beau had always felt in his heart like something was missing from his escapades with Zane until he came to the realization, thanks to the help of V, that he wasn’t satisfied with the threesomes because he didn’t want the women, he wanted Zane. After his one encounter with Zane, Beau knew that he could never go back to having sex with women again, because he is gay.
When Beau and Ethan are together in a room there is pull that draws them to one another. This pull can’t be denied no matter how hard either of them try. Ethan wants to protect Beau from any scrutiny that could come from people seeing them together. Beau could really care less. He just wants Ethan and is willing to give up his new found freedom to have him.
Ethan and Beau together are scorching freakin’ HOT! I loved how each time they were together you were able to see Ethan’s wall crumbling. He needed Beau to show him he was worth the fight and Beau was right there to show him. This was a true love story. I am so looking forward to hearing about Ethan and Beau in future Alluring Indulgence books, because we want to hear about them having babies!! Do you hear that Ms. Edwards - WE WANT BABIES!

"I love you," Ethan Whispered against his ear. "I love you with all that I am." And that right there was Beau's future. The only thing he needed. "I Love You, too."

Oy.
Ok. I'm going to make this short and sweet, cause I don't want this review to be a rant-fest. But, I apologize in advance in case it does become one.
Alright. So. This book.

I skimmed the first 33%. Not going to lie. Why did I do this? BECAUSE, between Ethan and Beau, it was a never ending back and forth with the "I want you. No I don't" [insert stare contest and eye fuckery here]. It was a constant cycle of inner dialogue repetition, and to me, unnecessary angst. Once you get to the heart of the story, I was able to get on board with the characters. There were some moments where I couldn't connect with the "emotional" parts. A LOT of it came across awfully cliché, and even though I've only read a few M/M books, this story was awfully reminiscent of things I've seen before. There were things in this book that I kinda just shrugged off. In other words, could've done without. There were parts where I found myself shaking my head because I felt as though the author was trying too hard to draw emotion. I'm sorry, but I just couldn't get on board. I liked the characters a lot, and I was invested in this series. That is why I gave it 3 stars. But I found that this one just wasn't for me.

I have been loving this series, but I think that Ethan was one of my favorite stories. It didn't feel forced, it didn't feel fake and I really felt like the characters were who they were.
