Gorgeous, heartwarming read, with great characters and family dynamics.
Lucy loves her job and is determined to do everything she can to save the company. So much so that she decides to hand deliver a marketing proposal to a potential new client, just before Christmas.
The whole family, plus Lucy, end up snowed in, creating a perfect backdrop for secrets to be shared and romance to blossom.

I don't know if I haven't found my Christmas spirit yet or not, but I am conflicted about this one. I found the beginning to be VERY repetitive, the story line contrived, and, basically, extremely difficult to get into. It took me FOREVER to finish and I almost gave it up. But, I continued and while not being super happy I did -- I did get through it. The story was very cookie cutter basic (pun intended) and you essentially know before-hand exactly what is going to happen -- and, being a Christmas story, everything tied up in the end with a red ribbon on top. I did fall in love with Clemmie and Fergus -- and Nanna Jean, of course. There were some funny moments, and some moments that were quite moving (had myself a good cry at a couple of spots) but honestly, the story just did not hold enough magic for me. I hope I'm not growing too cynical for Christmas stories

Another excellent Christmas book by Sarah Morgan
This is my second Christmas book by Sarah Morgan after I read The Christmas Escape a year ago and loved it. I loved this one as much. I think reading Sarah's Christmas book will become a January habit.
Snowed in for Christmas, although a festive read, is a thought provoking book about the role of women in our society, the expectations placed on us and how these expectations affect each one of us. The Miller women are no exception. Glenda, Alice, Clemmie and Lucy each try to be who they want to be although it might not tick the right boxes in our society or with their family. This lead them to try and keep their secrets to conform to what is expected of them.
I really felt I was in the Scottish Highlands snowed in for Christmas with the Miller family in their chrismassy cottage. I got attached to all the main characters, especially to cheeky, funny, interfering Nanna Jean. I didn't want to leave the Miller's.

This had a very old school Harlequin vibe to it with the overanxious parent/grandparent and the emphasis on being married (or at least partnered) as the path to happiness. It was a pleasant read but I tend to prefer romances where there isn't so much pressure on the main couples to partner up.
