Another great start to a new series! Callista is looking for her father and Connor is trying to become a member of the Sons of God MC club. Their relationship heats up quickly as does the danger around them. Will finding her father be what she needs or will it destroy everything? Looking forward to more!
Thank you for the privilege of reading this book! Well done

This book is the first in the Sons of Gods MC series. It starts off the series with lots of drama.
Navy vet Callista is looking for answers about her father, who left the family while she was young. Callista's mother will only say he was in a motorcycle club, so Callista hires a private investigator to follow up. She locates her father's club in Alabama. He is the president of the club.
Callista takes a job at a bar near the club and starts referring to herself as Cali. One of her roomate's brother brings his friend Connor, a pledge at the club. Connor and Cali instantly connect. They begin a relationship which brings Cali to the club, where she finally meets her father. However, when Cali's identity is revealed, Connor thinks their relationship was only a way for Cali to get close to her father and feels very betrayed.
To further complicate things, a biker from another club sets his sights on Cali...and doesn't care that she doesn't feel the same.
The ending to this book is a tense cliffhanger.

eh, it was realtively boring considering it being an "MC" book. The topic of Connor/Eros getting his road name is never mentioned that he was a playboy until he was patched in....seemed odd. the ending is a relative cliffhanger and a really strange spot to end. I won't be picking up the second book.

I can see why her mom kept such a secret for so long. But I can also see why Cali wanted to know her father. Cali was lucky to meet Connor the way she did and for them to get together so quickly as well.

So it has been a while since I picked up an MC romance and Ms. Knox has written an exciting start to a new series.
Calli and Connor are a good fit. They are both loyal and are looking to belong, Connor to his MC family and Calli to her long-lost father. But Calli has a secret that may ruin her growing relationship with Connor. Is she just using him for personal gain? What are her true feelings toward Connor?
I like the fact that Calli was in the Navy and that she is not afraid to go after the father that abandoned his family so long ago despite her mother’s and sister’s protests. Working in a biker bar takes guts considering the rough crowd it attracts, and unfortunately, there is a predator who has his sights set on her. Calli met Connor by accident when he was helping her roomie’s brother fix their apartment’s leaky pipes. Connor is quiet, broody, and eager to get patched into the Sons of Gods MC. He has no time for a relationship, but there is something about the beautiful and intriguing bartender that has the big stronger biker dude longing to see her every day and stay with her every night. When Calli’s secret finally comes out in an untimely manner, it changes their dynamic and she has some explaining to do. But just when things start looking up, her worst nightmare unfolds leaving a cliffhanger that had me surprised and anxious to read the next book.
If you enjoy steamy MC romances filled with protective family, loyal friends, and frustrating suspense, give this book a try.

Erotic is the first book in the Sons Of Gods Mc series. And what an introduction!
Callista arrives in Alabama to find her father, who abandoned her, her sister and her mother years ago. She needs to know why, and to finally have closure.
Connor is a Sons of Gods prospect. He's a child of the system looking for a family, which he finds with the MC.
When these two meet, the attraction is immediate and the sparks fly.
But what happens when Connor learns why Callista is there? Will Callista finally have the closure she seeks with her father?
Family is at the heart of this tome, whether by blood or by heart.
It's a great story' to start this new series, but lacks a bit of action.
The action only comes in the last chapter, and everything is resolved in the epilogue. I'd have preferred the action to come earlier in the book, with more information about what happened to Calli and how she recovered.
This leads to an irregularity in the pace of the book; it's a fairly slow pace throughout the story, then the last chapter picks up the pace, only to fall back into the epilogue, which left me a little disappointed.
Without this imbalance, it would have been a 5 star for sure.

Callista is curious about her father that walked away from her and her family years ago, but when the subject is brought up her mother loses it. It’s not until years later when Callista is grown that she ventures out to get answers. Some small clues lead her in the right direction, but it isn’t until her roommates brother shows up to repair some things she learns more. She wasn’t expecting Connor or to hit things off with him because he is a prospect for her father’s MC club. Things heat up quick and insanely hot between them, but when secrets come to light will it be too late? That ending and epilogue is heartbreaking and leaves me questioning how do they heal from here or overcome any of that because it leaves us guessing or waiting for the next book to see.

This was a great MC romance. I loved the storyline, it was entertaining and exciting from start to finish, and it was definitely a book that made sure to leave you wanting more. It was just such a great way to start a series with the cliffhanger-ish ending.
Connor and Callista had such a strong connection from the beginning and I loved the flow of their romance. I can’t wait to read the rest of the series.

MMC/FMC- Connor and Callista
POV- 1st person dual
Genre- MC Romance
Heat- they do the thing in the first third of the book and name the parts
Series? Y
Cliffhanger? Sort of
HEA/HFN? Not really
Triggers- Violence, implied s. assault, language, explicit erotic content
Tropes- My Prospects Are Looking Good, Daddy Issues, Club Princess, Instalove
What I liked- I liked that, for once in a MC Romance, the s. assault is implied rather than set forth in excruciating detail. I liked the relationship the main couple was building together. I liked the secondary characters. And I liked the fact that the heroine’s heritage is diverse, although I don’t know enough about Persian culture or people to know if this is an accurate portrayal.
What I didn’t- there wasn’t anything I really disliked about this book. It did slow down a little around the 40% mark, but the pacing picked up again.
Verdict- I’d recommend this book. And I plan to read the rest of the series.

I really enjoyed the book and the main characters. I really felt bad for Calli, her mother and her sister; being abandoned the way they were. By the time she gets to meet her father I was excited, only to be let down by his lousy excuse of why he abandoned them.
He says he had to push them away to keep them safe from being killed by a rival club, only for him to have a whole other family with a club whore? He spent more time with the club whore and illegitimate son than he ever did his wife and two daughters. It just made me feel that he sent his wife away so that he could have carte blanche sex with club whores or other women.
