This is an excellent celebration of Star Trek’s 50th anniversary. Miller does a great job of crafting a story that includes roles for Spock and Kirk, as well as for Picard and Worf. Fans of Klingon culture will be impressed and entertained. I look forward to reading book two.

I got an early copy of this book before it's official release at the Star Trek Mission New York celebration. The story focuses mainly on the crew from TNG, but there's also a segment of the book that deals with TOS after Kirk is given command of The Enterprise-A at the end of Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home. I thought the writer did a good job of connecting events from The Search for Spock with the TNG era. Overall a solid Star Trek novel with mystery, action, alien creatures, assassinations, political intrigue, and Klingon lore.

Took me a while getting into it, but once i did it was a good read.
Ties together storylines from the Search for Spock film with post dominion war enterprise and even a bit of Kirk and Spock. Worf gets a prominent role as well.

What a great concept for a 50th Anniversary Trek story. A tale of vengeful Klingons that originates in the time of The Original Series, and sees it’s climax in The Next Generation era. Two Enterprises, Kirk, Spock, Kruge, a fleet of advanced Birds of Prey, the crews of Picard and admiral Riker... lots to love with this novel. Best part is it’s only part one!

Excellent beginning to a promising trilogy

Great plot coupled with characters from both TOS and TNG, plenty of action and Klingons, lot of Klingons make foe a really good trilogy opener. Looking forward to the next installment.

Good addition to the Star Trek universe - unexpected in some places. Good cliffhanger which leaves you needing the second instalment. If your a trek fan then you’ll love it

An enjoyable plot, though it's a bit drawn out. The star trek characters are spot on in their lines too. I'm half way into book 2 now and definitely think this series could have been shorter. It's still worth reading if you like Trek.
