Vance is that guy!
Let’s Chill by Ella Jay is about Carrera McIntyre and Vance Howard. 5 years to the day Carrera left Vance at the alter they finally say “I do” on an insta-marriage reality tv show. I wish we could have gone further in depth of Carrera’s feelings because I still don’t get why she left Vance at the alter. I love Vance’s energy, I wonder what he loved so much about Carrera to try again with her.

It took me a week to read 27 pages. That's how I know I did not enjoy this story at all.
Let's Chillis the 3rd installment in the 90s Kind of Love series. It focuses on Carrera and Vance who Careera left at the alter when they were supposed to get married. Unfortunately, when Carrera enters this game show of sorts to marry a man she doesn't know, she ends up being paired with none other than Vance. I thought that the premise of this story was interesting; however, the poor editing and poor execution of the story made it almost unreadable. There were sections of the book where quotation marks for talking characters were placed incorrectly or were not used at all. Words were misspelled throughout the book until it became glaring. I've been reading a lot of indie romance and I understand that they do not always have the financial means to acquire an editor the same way traditional romance writers do. I'm typically gracious with how I view grammatical errors, misspellings, etc; however, this book read as if it wasn't edited at all or no one took the time to proofread. As a result, the story itself was interrupted constantly not allowing me to focus on the story at hand. I lost interest in them quickly and didn't care how the story turned out. I'm not against trying more from this author, but this just didn't work for me as reader.

I wanted to love this story more, but the amount of grammatical errors almost threw me into a tizzy. The story itself was ok. I would have preferred this author kept the same theme as the others and not wait until the last minute to throw the 90’s song in there. It felt as if it was an afterthought, like she remembered at the end “oh yea I have to add something related to a 90’s love song in here.”

Boring! Boring! Boring! The writing was boring, and so was the storyline.
Too many typos. Somebody should have spell checked the book. It was just cringe!

What can I say? This was definitely a different type of love story. I loved the spin that Elle put on the story especially because I am a fan of reality tv shows (read the book to see what I mean). I’m mad the ending wasn’t explicitly stated but one could assume that it was a happy ending

The trope of the jealous woman is so cringe worthy to read. Please let’s write about strong women who is not intimidated by another woman. Let’s promote more woman-woman uplifting than tearing down.
Besides that and the typos, overall storyline kept me intrigued. The feel of reality dating was an awesome take to the main characters love story.

Oh boy, I was really looking forward to this book, a second chance romance between a couple where one of them abandoned the other at the altar and they reunite on a marriage reality show – the drama! The angst!, I was so looking forward to it and this is just 27 pages of disappointment that I wish I had just dnf’d.
The writing in this is just flat, not engaging at all. I have no idea why I should root for the couple and I don’t think the author does either. Carrera is just such an unlikeable character, there is one point where she talks about how the producers edit her to look like a villain, but she really is just an asshole (and a slut shaming one at that), I was hoping Vance would leave her, he wasn’t given much of a personality but I know he deserved better! There is nothing redeemable about Carrera. The one interesting thing about this book is the way Vance and Carrera decide to communicate with each other is through songs, this would have been so interesting … if it wasn’t introduced at the end. This had such potential but just misses the mark.
