So good, but so, so heavy. I almost feel like this should be mandatory reading because I learned so much about WW 1 and undercover spy networks than ever before. To think that there were female spies in WW 1 - WOW! But it’s heavy. Incredible, but heavy and real. Absolutely worth reading, one of my favorite books I’ve read, but the horrors that these women have seen has been giving me nightmares.

As for the Alice Network, it is a beautiful book. Very well written and engaging. Grasse, France in now on my list to visit and the “Queen of Spies in WW1” is on my list to read about. I’m also so happy there is a happy ending to this story. The characters find love and family within each other. They also find forgiveness in themselves and learn how to grieve.
I definitely recommend reading this book!
