The Scorpio Races by Maggie Stiefvater

The beginning half of this book is slow ( for me ) but it's fine because the second half of the book was worth it.
The thing that I love the most ( there's so much stuff that I love so I'm just gonna tell about my absolute favorite ) in this book would probably be Sean and Corr close relationship. I literally cry when I thought that Corr was dead because the horse means everything ( and now, Puck too ) to Sean and it breaks my heart to see them apart. I was ready to jump into the book and slap Mutt a thousand times then throw him into the November sea.
Since I can't bear to see Sean and Corr apart, that's why I absolutely adore the ending. It was so beautiful. (╥﹏╥)
Anyway, I hope you have a wonderful day that's filled with good books to read and please, spread ☮ and not hate ♡

This is a really cute book! I managed to finished it in two days! That rarely happens :) I think, no I'm sure that this is my favourite book of the year. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA this is such a good book. My brain can't function properly with the cuteness and all of the magical things inside this book!!!
Oh god, I love all the characters in here. I love everything that happened in this book. The plot, the couples, the talks about arts, the arts itself, the banters, the talking with putting hands over the eyes thingy, the searching for the dream guy, the night of having fun in senior year- *sigh* I just love this book so much.
I definitely recommend this book to all of you! I swear that you don't want to miss out on this magical book ( ◜‿◝ )♡

And the Mountains Echoed by Khaled Hosseini
So, this is the first book that I've read from Khaled Hosseini and I absolutely love it. I don't usually adore books that have multiple POV since they tend to get messy and unorganized but ATME is an exception.
The only criticism that I have are the unnecessary POV chapters of the side characters such as Pawarna, the doctor from Tinos, Idris and Adel ( that's basically half of the chapters of the book lmao ). The reason why I said side characters and not other main characters because Abdullah is the only main character for me.
During the time that I was reading this book, I thought that Khaled could have made multiple Abdullah POV's chapter instead of some other characters that I do not need to know about. I want to know more about Abdullah's life like how he's dealing with the effect of losing the one that he loves the most as he grows and how he met his wife and also, the process of his movement to U.S but i didn't get that because there were so many side characters that Khaled wants to write a chapter about... So, that kinda sucks :/
But it's fine because of Khaled Hosseini writing style :) His writing is so rich with beautiful description that I can't tear my eyes away from the book! Yes, you guess it! I'm a sucker for a good writing style!!!
Also, believe it or not, I want Saboor ( Abdullah's father ) POV's chapter. Yeah, I know, it's confusing since I don't want “unnecessary characters POV chapters” but I think it will be interesting to see how he cope with his obviously terrible but necessary action of giving the most precious person to him to someone else and how that specific event plays a role in making him and Abdullah even further away drifting from each other than before. You should have seen me waiting eagerly for Saboor POV's chapter because in my mind, I was like if there's Pawarna POV's chapter then where Saboor's?
Clearly, I want to see a father and a son struggling with the loss of losing the only person that makes them both truly happy but, alas, that didn't happen :')
So, based on the reviews that I've read, a lot of people said that The Kite Runner and A Thousand Splendid Suns are way better so if you want to start reading Khaled Hosseini books, I recommend you to read this book first so that you can enjoy the magical experience of reading this book without comparing it to the other two. But if multiple POV books are not your thing, then please try to read The Kite Runner or A Thousand Splendid Suns because I guarantee you that you don't want to miss out on reading this author amazing writing style.

The second book in Bellinger sister duology. Like I said, best romance ever wha-
This book was written so good and the characters? Gosh, it feels as if they were real! They were fleshed out really well! Really, really well! I have never feel so connected to a story like this one. I was devouring everything in this book from the characters to the description of Westport ( miss the small town vibes *hugs* ) to the dialogue between Hannah and Fox. I was there with them as a ghost, observing them facing every obstacle that was coming their way. It was beautiful. Their relationship is beautiful.
Hannah Bellinger. What a kind, thoughtful, leading lady she is. This story wouldn't be half as amazing without her wiseness. Gosh, I strive to be her without the ability to match songs to moments because, of course, she's the only one that can do that. The fear and disgusted feeling of her not being able to connect with her father but ending up to be the legacy of her father? What a queen. Also, queen's move on her for getting what she want and being her most authentic self.
Fox Thornton. Peacock. Pretty boy side-kick. Or so we thought? His thoughts on himself is really saddening and it makes me think on how many times when we meet a person, we already put them in some kind of a mold and treat them according to what we think about them which comes from others view of them that we heard or our own past with their "kind" of people. Mostly, we think that's the person they are when in fact, they could be the totally opposite. Fox is a funny guy through and through and he knows how to smooth strained moments which just add to his charming character. It's not hard to fall in love with him. Especially when he's full of tattoos and got an unbelievably handsome face. Okay... hot alert-

Best slow burn ever, hands down. This book really went and said well I'm gonna ruin all the other slow burn romances for you missy so might as well buckle up for the ride. I'm obsessed as in 101% obsessed. I would have said that this could be my favorite romance of the year but the year IS just starting so let's hope for a good reading year since I'm gonna be home most of the time.
Lets focus on the topic first hand. Now, why do I love it so much? I think it's the characters that plays a big part.
Samuel Callaghan, the man of the hour, the definition of gentleman, the type of guy that I definitely want to have in my life and more. He is AMAZING. JUST PURE ON AMAZING AS A BROTHER? AS A BOYFRIEND? EVEN A FRIEND? Like could you get anyone better than him??? He's so respectful and caring and I just want to hug his humongous self tqvm. My heart is not mine and belong to him now.
Grace Allen, the sunshine, my mummy, the strongest survivor of sexual assault that I ever read and the type of girl that I want to be. Tell me about a fictional character that is just super brave trying to live in this world after going a traumatic accident while still being true to herself as well as she can? No? Yes? Well, the answer is no because the title is taken by Grace Allen, my idol. I want to be as badass as her and as kind as her and she's also my spirit character and I never been more proud of a character than I am of her. Have I tell you that I want her to be my mummy?
Best part - Callaghan and Grace. The way that they respect each other so much are goals. Totally the standard relationship and I would look up to them now. No buts, no ifs. The chats between them are top peak flirting. The conversation between them is so so mature, it's like a breath of fresh air. There's no miscommunication trope- I LOVE IT. I'M NOT SORRY FOR BEING OBSESSED WITH TWO CHARACTERS THAT CAN HANDLE THEIR RELATIONSHIP IN A MATURE WAY. LIKE MA'AM, THAT IS VERY ATTRACTIVE-
Trope -
☀Friends to lovers.
☀Lovers fighting against their desire.
☀Super pining and angst.
☀Single father/brother vibes.
☀Age gap.
☀Sunshine × Grumpy exterior.
☀(Not so)Bad boy that have a sweet spot for their partner.
☀"You ruin every women for me, baby". "You ruin every men for me too. "
☀Found family.
☀Everyone can see that they're in love but they're blind.
☀Best of all, slow burns.
good news -
☁no miscommunication trope.
☁no other women trope.
☁no unnecessary drama trope.
☁no toxic relationship trope.
Warning❗
Callaghan and Grace will make you wish that your relationship is as mature and respectful as theirs with a side of adorable moments that makes you feel like a single pringle.
To sum it all up, I want Callaghan and Grace to be my parents. I love love love matured characters that communicates really well and just tell their feelings to their partner because that is what a good relationship is. I also love Callaghan and Grace respect to each other and their kind and caring attitude about those who are matters to them. Overall, I'm in love with The Brightest Light of Sunshine.

Divine Rivals by Rebecca Ross
5.0
Okay, here it goes *exhale*. I've been putting this review off for a long time because the wreck that this book has made me is incredulous.
We got our two main characters, Iris Winnow and Roman Kitt. To say that they're just incredible characters that are well written is such an understatement. They have been imprinted on my mind ever since the first chapter and I kid you not, they feel so so real and I just want to give them a hug.
Iris and Roman lives in a city called Oath. They're both journalists that are rivaling with each other to get the position of a columnist in their newspaper company, The Gazette. Obviously, in the first few chapters we got a pretty good banters between them and Rebecca ( the amazing author ) shows us the world building of this glorious fictional world and the themes that will be portrayed all the way throughout the book.
Now, this where it gets a bit harder. One of the main theme of this book is war alongside with fantasy and romance. The two main characters is doing okay (in some way) with handling their jobs while struggling with some problems at home until some stuff happened that requires one of them to do something that are really dangerous. That something has to do with the war itself, which, as for an emotional reader like me, just guts my heart out.
I really love how heart wrenching Divine Rivals is because gosh, Rebecca Ross really did a good job on portraying the feeling of courage, proud, pain, hopelessness and sadness of war. How every moment could be the last and how we should cherish everything till the last second. I feel the tremor and grief that are in Iris and Roman so bad which shows you how good Rebecca is with her words.
Also, the romance is top tier. The amount of angst and pining is perfect. Iris and Roman chemistry is off the chart. I got to admit, he was a bit of a jerk in the first few chapters but my god, he changed a lot with Iris and I am obsessed. Obviously, me as a hopeless romantic, the last few chapters were a bliss. They are spectacular, amazing, gorgeous, unforgettable, terrific, lovable and swoon worthy fictional couple. Definitely one that is very close to my dear heart.
Tropes/Themes
• Rivals to lovers
• Forbidden Romance ( from Roman pov )
• Terrifying & anguish war
• Secret identity
• Soulmates by letters
Theme song : Timeless by Taylor Swift
All of you gorgeous people better read Divine Rivals or I send Dacre to your door. One quick question, why can't I have a lover that send me letters and reread my letters every night? Hoping for a Roman Kitt *fingers crossed*

I've got a confession... I've finished this book in one day- No, seriously, I'm not well. I'm still reeled back from the amount of shocked from this book that I promise I will continue to write this review another day...
ACTUALLY, NO, I HAVE TO WRITE THIS REVIEW WHILE IT IS STILL FRESH IN MY HEAD.
Effy Sayre. An academic extraordinaire. A literature enthusiast. Top student vibes. But, it's too bad because apparently in this world, women are not allowed to pursue the literature course which is the most prestigious course in the most prestigious university ( Talk about the close minded men geez- )
Like I said, Effy is so so so worthy to be in the literature course but again, she can't. So, she get into the second top courses, which is architecture. The story starts when she sees a flyer about building the design of a house for her favourite author, who has been dead for six month by the way. She was invited to the house since she managed to be chose as the one who will create the house blueprint. And then? YOU JUST HAVE TO READ IT TO FIND OUT!
In all honesty, this book has me sitting at the edge of my seat. The suspense and thrills that are incorporated into this book is cray cray and I mean like WOW type of crazy. It was the first book where I stay for the mystery aspect and not the romance aspect.
Now, don't get me wrong. I LOVE the romance. Preston was *chef kisses*. He's literally the type of men that we want in the real life. Caring and supporting. It's just- this is probably my preferences but I think the romance would work really well if it's being written out in two povs. Yes, I'm a sucker for a man that loves his woman. But- there's a big BUT- the fact that I really really adore Preston and his words to Effy and basically his vibes just show how amazing the author wrote about him. Like I could see the potential fictional husband that he could be.
Let's go back to the main point which is this story itself. The main thing that made me adore this story is the fact it talks about ocean and how dangerous but lovely it is. I am in awe everytime Ava mentioned about the ocean because I LOVE THE OCEAN. It really opened up my mind about the true nature of the ocean.
I come up with 4 hearts because there are a bit of plot holes and I don't like the ending- I know, it's pretty petty of me but I'm sure there's more to be said... I think I need to reread this again to be more sure of my review. And maybe I might write a review with more detail because gosh guys, this book is really really good in a way that would not let you put it down to do other work.
Lovely things in A Study In Drowning :
• Effy Sayre and Preston Héloury
• The writing
• Rivals to lovers
• Effy Sayre and Preston Héloury again
• The Ocean
• Mystery
• Effy Sayre and Preston Héloury please-
• Gothic vibes
• Fairy tales
• LET JUST SAY I'M OBSESSED WITH EFFY SAYRE AND PRESTON HÉLOURY
I think that's all for now. Don't worry, I definitely would read this again for a better review because man, this review doesn't do my feelings nor this book any justice!

One Dark Window by Rachel Gillig

This two books takes me about a week to finish- AND THAT'S BECAUSE OF THE HEART WRENCHING SCENES IN IT OH MY GOD-
Let's talk about the first book of The Shepherd King duology. I swear when I started to read this, it was very confusing because so many weird words like wha- but I slowly get through it, as a newfound lover of fantasy, and the book hooked me until the very end.
I love love love Elspeth with my heart. She's attentive and caring and oh so courageous.
Ravyn? Don't get me started with this cold dude. He's peachy as ever with his stares and glares. I love his little smiles that's only for Elspeth ( shut up, you love everything about him- ). And obviously our rotten as egg prince, Elm! He was a bit annoying in the first book but we coping with annoying men because why? They all are in this book ( again, shut up, you literally thought they were all hot with slight issues in their heart underneath that gorgeous body and glamorous hair- ). I'm just kidding. They all are the most interesting characters by far and I love so much how Rachel wrote every characters with their own personalities, even the side characters. It's like a hug to my book loving soul.
Anywayyyy, let us conclude that the first book was a bit slow in the first part but the second part? The storyline, the pacing, the characters- God, were they making me missing sleep!! I need to know what happened like woahhhhhh, go get em, Elspeth! My heart was beating wild with this one. Lets just jump into the second book ( CAN'T WAIT!! )
So, let us end on a note of
be wary, be clever, be good.
